Privacy at Timedora
Privacy Policy
This policy explains how TIMEDORA INC. (“Timedora,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, discloses, and retains information when you use timedora.com and our related study services.
Effective August 25, 2026
1. Information we collect
Account and transaction information
We may collect your name, email address, account identifiers, authentication details, subscription status, AI Unit balance, and records of purchases. Payment-card information is handled by our payment processors; we generally receive transaction details rather than full card numbers.
Study content you provide
We process materials you upload or create, including notes, slides, PDFs, readings, prompts, chat messages, Study Pack titles and descriptions, quiz questions, flashcards, matching pairs, feedback, and other content you choose to store or share.
Lecture recordings and transcripts
If you use lecture recording, we process the audio, recording metadata, notes, and transcripts needed to provide the feature. A live transcription preview may run on your device when enabled and supported. Audio uploaded to a Study Pack may be processed on our systems or by service providers to create a saved transcript or other requested study material.
Generated content and learning activity
We process AI-generated notes, quizzes, flashcards, matching activities, podcasts, related media, study settings, attempts, scores, progress, and playback information so the tools work and can resume across sessions.
Device, usage, and support information
We may collect IP address, browser and device details, pages or features used, timestamps, diagnostics, crash information, cookies, local-storage identifiers, communications with support, and security signals.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Create and secure accounts and authenticate users.
- Store Study Packs and provide notes, uploads, recording, transcription, generation, playback, sharing, and learning features.
- Send content to AI, transcription, hosting, storage, and other processors when needed to complete a request.
- Personalize the service, remember settings, maintain progress, and restore interrupted jobs.
- Process payments, administer plans and AI Units, and send transactional notices.
- Monitor reliability, prevent fraud or abuse, troubleshoot problems, and improve our products.
- Respond to support and privacy requests and comply with law.
- Send marketing where permitted and honor applicable opt-out choices.
Where applicable law requires a legal basis, we rely on performance of our contract, legitimate interests in operating and securing the service, consent where requested, and compliance with legal obligations.
3. AI and service providers
Timedora relies on providers that may process information for us, including cloud hosting and storage, AI model, speech-to-text, audio generation, analytics, customer support, security, email, and payment providers. The information sent depends on the feature you choose. For example, creating a quiz may require sending relevant Study Pack material and instructions to an AI provider, while producing a podcast may also involve speech-generation providers.
Providers may process information in countries different from yours and are subject to their contractual terms and applicable law. We may also disclose information to professional advisers, authorities where legally required, or a successor in a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets.
4. Recordings and information about other people
A lecture recording can capture an instructor, classmates, names, voices, questions, and other personal information. Before recording or uploading material about another person, you must provide any required notice and obtain all permissions required by your school, institution, location, and applicable law.
Do not record when permission has not been given. Avoid including sensitive personal information that is not necessary for studying.
5. Sharing and public content
Content is private or limited to your account unless you choose a sharing or publishing feature, join shared content, or another authorized user shares it with you. Anyone with access to a shared link may be able to view or interact with the associated content. Review material before sharing and remove personal or confidential information you do not want recipients to see.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain account information and saved Study Pack content for as long as reasonably needed to provide the service, maintain the account, satisfy legal or financial obligations, resolve disputes, and protect the service. Temporary processing copies and generated files may follow shorter operational schedules. Saved, pinned, shared, or published content may remain until it is deleted or the related account or sharing relationship ends.
Deletion requests may not immediately remove information from backups, security logs, transaction records, content held by another authorized user, or records we must keep by law. We delete or de-identify such information when the applicable retention need ends.
7. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, portability, restriction, or objection; withdraw consent; or opt out of certain sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or marketing activities. You may also have a right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising a privacy right.
To make a request, email privacy@timedora.com. We may verify your identity and may deny or limit a request where the law allows. You can unsubscribe from marketing through the message link, but we may still send service and account notices.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
We use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for login, security, preferences, feature operation, performance measurement, and—where enabled—analytics or advertising. Browser controls and any consent settings offered by Timedora can help manage optional technologies. Blocking necessary storage may prevent parts of the service from working.
9. Students, schools, and children
Timedora’s general-audience service is not directed to children under 13, and children under 13 may not create an account or upload personal information through the general service. Users who are under the age of legal majority must have permission from a parent or legal guardian.
Teachers and students should follow school approval processes and applicable student-record rules before using Timedora with institution-controlled information. If Timedora provides services under a separate agreement with a school or organization, that agreement may include additional student-data requirements and will control where it conflicts with this general policy.
10. Security and international processing
We use administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so keep account credentials confidential and contact us if you suspect unauthorized access. Information may be processed in the United States and other countries where we or our providers operate, subject to applicable transfer requirements.
11. Changes and contact
We may update this policy as the service or law changes. We will post the revised policy with a new effective date and provide additional notice when required. For privacy questions or requests, contact privacy@timedora.com. For product support, contact support@timedora.com.
